Kailley Quote: Expectations and Expansion

Once you free yourself…that world view will expand accordingly.

Expectations_KQ_meme_FBcvr

Expectations are natural to your dualistic world view.

Once you free yourself from those expectations

that are no longer serving you,

that world view will expand accordingly.

I Didn’t Dream This, Did I? | Richard Bach

“Of course you can follow,” they said, “you will when you learn to do it. You’re a young culture, and if you don’t blow your beautiful planet into tiny little pieces, you’ll learn to do a lot more than fifth dimension travel.

So before I went to sleep, I relaxed my body, relaxed my mind, felt free of the chains of this world. Body asleep, mind alert, I imagined moving to where she had said to be.

There they were. I don’t remember their faces, just the same as a Near Death Experience – we see others, but most often not clearly.   Instead of thinking that they would be doing something with me, I asked them a few questions: “Why are you all here on our planet? What do you want from us?”

They didn’t use words, which is common through all the books about them I’ve read, and about spirits. They use telepathy which I hear as ideas in good English. “We’re here because we’re your family!”

I have a small recognition of family, as we’re a kind of family, here on this website. But the family includes angels and guides and ETs from light-years away? That was a startlement, and it made perfect sense the second I heard it. It still makes sense to me now. I love the idea of an exoplanetary family.

“If you’re spiritual beings, though,” I said, “why do the ETs use spaceships and UFOs, to reach us? Why do you appear and disappear in some fifth dimension, where we can’t follow?”

“Of course you can follow,” they said, “you will when you learn to do it. You’re a young culture, and if you don’t blow your beautiful planet into tiny little pieces, you’ll learn to do a lot more than fifth dimension travel.

Easter and The Lovers

Every day I get a new card drawn from the Tarot as part of an app on my phone; today’s card is The Lovers.

The Lovers, Key 6
The Lovers, Key 6

Traditionally, this card is seen as about the surface value of love and relationships, but that is only “skin deep”. It’s about delving into our ideas about love and loving, lovers and other loving relationships which enliven our existence. It’s about peering into our own hearts to make a decision that may be weighing heavily upon it or to question the desires that may be stirring there.

It is said that when we choose a path…or a door, we also choose to sacrifice that which we have not chosen. We are then asked to take responsibility for that choosing and celebrate all the passion, spiritual devotion and, yes, even ownership for loving oneself.

As we are in the midst of several religious and spiritual traditions, known as Easter, Passover (Pesach), and celebrations surrounding the Spring Equinox and May Day, this time of year is about the renewal of our spirit. We are asked to review our choices about many things, plant the seeds that we will nurture and look forward to the greening of the Earth.

The first step of any journey is one of choice; which direction to begin and our dedication to that path to the exclusion of other, maybe equally desirable choices. As you sit down to your meal today, whether it be one of special celebration of this holiday with family or by yourself, consider the choices that have lead you to this point. Everything that you do, say, thing and eat, are results of a long and complex chain of decisions made and executed. Take responsibility for the simple acts and accept that there will be challenges along the way.

Easter celebrates the resurrection and triumph over death, that which was sacrificed was not done in vain. There is a purpose, but only you can own that purpose and manifest it in your own life. That is where the magic happens; that is when you are utterly transformed by the suffering that may have seemed to be unbearable. To accept the ultimate sacrifice represented by the risen Lord is to understand the meaning in your own life.

Celebrate the love that is all-too-often beyond understanding, the love that resides within.

Another quickie update to my life post!

I know…I’ve been REALLY slacking on the original post front and this one is not going to make up for all those missed opportunities to connect with my followers.

That said, here’s my quickie update:

1. Moving…yes, I’m moving soon. Lease here in Rockville runs out on June 15th and I’ll be moving about 20 miles east to Laurel. Coincidentally, it’s almost the same mileage to work (25-ish) and probably about the same time…though a more direct route that does not have me taking a scenic tour of our great nation’s monuments (I can see the Capitol dome from my desk).

2. Writing…always and in many forms. In addition to writing web content at work, I come home and write for my screenwriting class. Needless-to-say, I’m about a week behind in my homework, but moving is task #1.

3. Relationship…starting a new one. More about that as things (hopefully) develop further. So far, I’m liking it much better than any I’ve had in over a year!

4. Spiritual practice…the last class before our summer break is Saturday. Not ideal, as I need more time to pack…but…this is too important to skip.

I’m sure there is much more I could say about all the above, obviously time is a huge factor. Figured, if I made this a “quickie”, I’d thrash it out in a few paragraphs, hit PUBLISH, and pat myself on the back.

Special thanks to the couple of bloggers who I reblog…providing most of my regular content! Peace and more soon…promise!

Blessed Change, or Tarot me a Reading

A major life change brings you great blessings

This is showing up more and more in my life…I suspect in many people’s lives. Tarot has been a wonderful tool in pulling out the underlying causes; I’ve been doing Tarot readings for awhile now and the results are astonishing…even to me.

I wanted to create a new graphic to illustrate the nature of sacred change. I’m calling this series of graphics, Sacred GeoMancy, an example is below.

Aramaic Lord’s Prayer

Prayers of the Cosmos

Meditations on the Aramaic words of Jesus

Prayers of the Cosmos

The below translation of The Lord’s Prayer from Aramaic to English
is taken from the book, Prayers of the Cosmos by Neil Douglas-Klotz.
There are several translations below each line of the prayer.

The Aramaic is in Bold letters and The King James V version is in parenthesis.

Excerpts from The Beatitudes follow The Lord’s Prayer.
There is so much more in this book than appears on this page.

…I took some of the lines and created my own, special prayer…

Prayers of the Cosmos

O Thou! The Breathing Life of all,
Creator of the Shimmering Sound that touches us.
Focus your light within us–make it useful:
as the rays of a beacon show the way.
Let your counsel rule our lives, clearing our intention for co-creation.
Create in me a divine cooperation–from many selves, one voice, one action.
Produce in us, for us, the possible: each only-human step toward home lit up.
Untangle the knots within so that we can mend our hearts’ simple ties to others.
Don’t let us enter forgetfulness, the temptation of false appearances.
Out of you, the astonishing fire, the birthing glory,
returning light and sound to the cosmos…
Again and again, from each universal gathering–of creatures,
nations, planets, time, and space–to the next.
Truly–power to these statements–may they be the ground from which all
my actions grow:
Sealed in trust and faith.
Amen.

Take the Interior Path to the Fearless Life

Excerpt from an article by Guy Finley

Key Lesson: The moment you see that the only thing you really fear in this life is what you’ve mistaken yourself to be, you’ll also see the interior path that leads to a fearless life. Take this path and you will find a greatness that is the source of fearlessness itself.

Let Go of Your Mistaken Identity

Whenever we picture ourselves, there is one image that rarely, if ever, enters into our mental movie: that of being someone who is ready to fall apart. But truthfully, few of us see ourselves in any self-comprising light at all. We feel safe within the dimly lit theatre of our own circle-of-self-pictures and we return to it often — especially when the harsh light of reality starts to break through and show us we may not be as together as we’d like to think. This is why we need the truth in our lives. The truth is what allows us to see reality without being frightened about what we see. Part of the Truth’s rescuing action is to reveal to us that we are not apart from what we see. From this unique, inner-vantage point, the light of reality isn’t harsh — it’s Home. The more of this light we can welcome into our circle-of-self and its cast of 1,001 self-images, the easier it becomes to let go. Why? Because we aren’t losing anything except for what has been keeping us in the darkness.

“What makes you angry or anxious?”

“When things don’t go the way I want them to.”

“In other words, you’ve pictured how things should be, and when life doesn’t confirm these pictures, you get negative in one way or another.”

“Yes, that about describes it. What are you getting at?”

“Let’s work together at this. You said that when life doesn’t confirm your self-pictures — your hope of future security, love in relationships, or whatever it is — then some kind of stress or unhappiness comes up as these pictures of yours begin to fall apart. This shows us that within your present way of thinking, you believe your future happiness actually depends upon these pictures. This is why, as your pictures begin to crumble, so do you!”

“Yes, but why do I get angry or anxious?”

“Because these punishing emotions are part of a subtle system of self-subterfuge that accomplishes two dark things at once: it keeps the problem alive, and at the same time, it keeps the real solution out of sight.”

“What is the problem?”

“Essentially, it is a lack of understanding about your true nature. You are about to discover that you are not who you think you are. No matter how attractive or repulsive, you are not any picture you may be holding of yourself.”

“And what is the real solution?”

“Go ahead and let yourself fall apart!”
